You Deserve It, I Deserve It, We All Deserve It

Lately I’ve begun to attract really negative feelings about myself (as I’ve mentioned in past posts my situation with mental health isn’t brilliant right now so there’s that too), and I’m starting to doubt everything I believe in and stand for.

There are so many things in the world I wish I could change. I know my ways of thinking are probably very naive but that’s just me. I’m cheesy, emotional, ridiculous and very naive.

I wish everyone could be that little bit kinder to each other, I wish I could stop innocent people from getting hurt, I wish I could give a home to each and every person living on the streets. But as you know it’s just not that simple sometimes.

What’s funny is I started to write this post a couple of days ago, and in that space I’ve had people message me about the blog which means SO much to me and really is incredible.

Yet, it doesn’t stop me from attracting negative thoughts and doubting this that and the other. The truth is, we all deserve to believe in ourselves, no matter what we stand for. We deserve to believe that whatever we’re doing in our lives IS making a difference, no matter how insignificant you may deem it to be.

What’s also important to note is it’s okay to doubt yourself or whatever you stand for from time to time. With the horrible crap that goes on in the world, it’s hard not to remain positive Polly 24/7 and it can be easy to lose faith and hope for what you want to change.

What you and I fail to realise is that what we are doing each and every day IS making a difference to something at least, whether it’s the world, a person or an animal.

We all deserve to be happy and to feel like we have a purpose in the world. We ALL have a purpose and meaning in this life, whether you know what that is or not. Having a purpose doesn’t just mean being a billionaire or being famous, it can mean being kind to someone, speaking out about something that’s difficult for you, making art or taking care of people.

We can use our talents and strengths and what we’re naturally good at to make a difference in the world. Nothing makes you “bad” unless you’re intentionally being unkind. If you can’t find it in your heart to be kind, that’s okay, but what’s not okay is being mean and cruel intentionally to somebody else.

‘Don’t rush finding your life purpose. When the time is right, you will find your path’ – Just because your purpose on the earth isn’t obvious yet doesn’t mean you don’t have a meaning here. Everybody has a meaning and deserves to live.

It doesn’t matter who you used to be, it matters who you’re becoming now. That is who is present in this moment and is making a difference everyday.

Even if some days you don’t manage to do much, THAT IS OKAY!! You still deserve this life and for it to be as amazing as can be when possible.

Ciao for now x
