We Weren't Born To Live Mundane Lives

As awful as it sounds, we aren’t here for a long time (we’re here for a good time…). We are here to do what we love and what makes us happy and excited, not to wake up every morning dreading our 9-5 jobs.

You’re probably sat there, reading this and thinking ‘what planet is this girl on?!’. So not all hobbies can be turned into a 9-5 job, I get that, but that doesn’t mean we have to be tied down to a job that doesn’t make us happy. IF this is the case, it is so crucial to ensure you make time to do lots of it. Whether it’s a job or school that takes up most of your time right now, make time for you time, for feel-good time.

I know we have bills to pay, and exams to pass but it is also so important to also do the things we love and focus on achieving what matters to us – which could well be passing that exam, or getting that pay rise.

Ask yourself this, what matters to you? Out of everything in the world, what do you care about most?

It doesn’t have to be job related, but whatever that thing is that popped into your head when you read that IS what matters to you. It’s something you need to make sure you do lots of in your life.

We are all free to work as whoever or whatever we want (as long as it’s legal) whether it’s a binman, a nurse, a beauty guru, a model a doctor, a teacher – whatever. What matters is how it makes you feel. If you don’t dread getting up every morning to do it – that’s good.

Our jobs, aspirations and goals DO NOT define our social status at all.

The path we take in life leads us to the right place in the end. Even when we experience hardships and make mistakes along the way – it all leads us to where we’re suppose to be.

“Allow your passion to become your purpose and it will one day become your profession”

We all have something that we feel very passionately about whether it’s politics, stigma surrounding a topic, or any kind of change we want to see in the world. The truth is, we’re all so very capable of achieving what we want to achieve and making that bit of difference to the world.

Nobody’s passion or purpose in life is any less meaningful than anyone else’s. We are all on the same level. We all believe in different things and have different strengths and weaknesses to each other BUT that doesn’t give anyone more status over another person.

We all have a purpose here in this life, and all of us matter. Our way of lives matter. It matters that we live a life that, when the time comes, we can look back and feel happy about all we did and achieved.

Here’s to living a less mundane life!

Ciao for now x
